Joining
How do I join?
Talisman is in private beta, and you need an invite code to create an account. If you have one, enter it at talismanproject.org/join. If you do not, leave your email on the home page and we will write to you when we can let more people in.
I make music, run a label or put on shows. How do I start?
You join with an invite code too. If you have one, redeem it here. If you do not, email us about your music and what you would like to do with Talisman. Once you have an account, releases, splits and payouts live in the Portal at portal.talismanproject.org.
The app
How do I get the app?
Everything is on the Get Talisman page. In short: the iPhone app is in beta through Apple's TestFlight and needs iOS 17 or later. The Android app is a direct download and needs Android 8 or later. On a computer, an iPad or an older phone, you can listen in your browser at app.talismanproject.org.
What is TestFlight?
TestFlight is Apple's app for trying apps before they reach the App Store. Install TestFlight from the App Store first, then open the Talisman beta link and tap Accept, then Install. The steps are on the Get Talisman page.
Android warns me about installing the app.
Android asks before it installs any app that does not come from the Play Store. Allow installs from your browser when it asks. Google Play Protect may also say it does not recognise the app; you can choose to install anyway.
Your account
I forgot my password.
Use Reset password on the sign-in page at account.talismanproject.org. We email you a link, and it works for 1 hour.
How do I close my account?
Email support@talismanproject.org from the address on your account and we will close it. The Privacy Policy explains what we keep afterwards and for how long.
Paying
How does paying for music work?
You pay for the time you spend listening, or buy a release to keep. Listening time is only used while music is playing.
Where does my money go?
95% of what you pay, after processing, goes to the artists and rights holders behind the music. Talisman keeps 5%, heading to 1%.

How do I reach a person?
